If he’s a large breed dog wait an hour or so for exercise. If you are talking about outside for potty, take him right after eating. Smaller dogs can and will exercise anytime they want so just let them choose for themselves.
i pretty much do it opposite… i feed them after our walk. that way they feel like they had to work for their food, like they would normally do in the wild. =)
i would wait a little while if i did it your way, as i know when i eat a big meal i don’t wanna go for a brisk walk right after! =)
